Chapter Executive
Another great Christmas gathering was held at Ricker’s. Big thanks to Janice and Gaius for opening their home to us. We had a good turnout of more than 20 members and guests, and enjoyed having Gordon and Wanda Green visit with us from the Miramichi. The fellowship was great, reminder gifts of incidents that happened this summer were presented to various members, there were lots of laughs and of course, good food. Those attending were introduced by Don MacAulay, to Debbie, who most of us had never met before. At least he said it was his wife Debbie, and she sounded like the voice on the answering machine!
Pie and coffee are as important as gasoline.
Just so we don’t forget what summer and riding look like, here are some reminders:
There is riding and then there is riding.
Charting Our Course Into The New Millennium
Don’t forget about Seasons of Refreshing. Again this year our chapter is hosting this event. The dates are Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th, at Sunny Brae United Baptist Church. There will be opportunity to fellowship with members of the other chapters, as well as inspirational sessions led by Paul Miller, Canadian Evangelist. Len Paterson, president of CMA-Canada, and his wife, will be with us for this year’s Seasons. We will therefore have an opportunity to meet and talk with them. Lunch will be provided at noon on Saturday. Saturday evening we will probably be gathering at a local restaurant for supper. Sunday morning we will be participating in the worship service at Sunny Brae at 11:00am. Maybe this year it won’t snow on the bikes so we won’t have to store them in the church basement!!!
Winter is Nature’s way of telling you to polish.
Run For The Son
And it is not too soon to be thinking about sponsors for the Run For The Son in May. In 1998, when we were only a ride group, we raised $500.00. In 1999 the first year we were a chapter, we raised $3,789.00! Rodney Steeves is looking after the packages this year and will be letting us know when he has them.
Sundry information
We now have 27 CMAers in this area, of which 22 are active
in our chapter.
If you don’t ride in the rain – you don’t ride.
